Rabih Ahmed

Rabih Ahmed is a Ghanaian-American Muslim poet and educator from the Bronx. She utilizes the rhythms and histories of the African diaspora to bridge lost narratives across the Atlantic. She was first recognized by the Department of Education, where she was commissioned to South Africa to meet Nelson Mandela. She has performed her poetry throughout New York State, the Dominican Republic, Cuba and Brazil. In 2017, Rabih created LOVE LIGHT & POETRY, with a mission of providing accessible workshops to marginalized communities left on the peripheries of the literary world. Rabih illuminates poetry as a modality of celebration, transformation, and healing.
